Council for Voluntary Service (Medway)

What CVS provides

Services and support for local voluntary groups and organisations which includes: identifying, co-ordinating and providing training, ensuring full participation for disadvantaged groups, networking and building partnerships
 
Advice, information and resources (generally provided free to all members) including: producing a Directory of Voluntary Organisations, a Halls for Hire list, and a booklist; providing a library of books relevant to the voluntary sector, photocopying at cost price, the loan of TV& video, OHP & screen, display boards and collecting boxes; giving information on charitable status, trusteeship, fundraising etc; and producing a monthly newsletter, 'Voluntary and Community Sector News'.
 
Development, support and management of specific projects with a view to moving them towards independence.
