MSCB is responsible for coordinating the work done by different agencies in Medway to keep children safe from harm. The Board provides a variety of training courses in Safeguarding and Child Protection, which is available to those working in statutory and non-statutory organisations and the voluntary sector. Most Training is provided free of charge.

CVS logoCouncil for Voluntary Service (Medway)

CVS works towards providing effective support to over 350 organisations in Medway's voluntary and community sector. CVS has been funded by the Children's Workforce Development Council to provide training to the voluntary sector on the CWDC Induction Standard. This training is free of charge to candidates working for voluntary and community groups in Medway.

NKTS logoNorth Kent Training Service

North Kent Training Service offers a range of training course to the voluntary sector, including Child Protection Awareness, Health and Safety Risk Assessment, Dealing with Challenging Behavious and Creating Games with Little or No Equipment. There is a small charge for training, although all courses are subsidised through various grants and funding schemes to reduce the cost to course delegates.
